Gabelli has been managing dedicated merger arbitrage portfolios in since 1985, as it is an extension of our Private Market Value with a Catalyst approach to value investing.

In 2011, the firm brought our merger arbitrage strategy to the UCITS framework, and the investment team continues to manage the UCITS fund pari-passu to our flagship onshore strategy first launched as an LP structure in 1985.

GAMCO Merger Arbitrage UCITS invests in announced risk arbitrage
transactions primarily in connection with mergers, acquisitions, sales of assets, exchange offers, cash tender offers, and recapitalizations.  To a lesser extent, the Fund may invest in stubs, spin-offs, liquidations and certain other special situations.
